(Update, 20 April: Rod VK2ZZM has uploaded a video of the event.)

The worst rainstorm weekend of the century was not going to put a damper on the MWRS attempt at the John Moyle Memorial Field day 2021 the 20-21 March 2021

Thanks to Rod (and his magnificent shed) for hosting us!  We could operate the radios, cook on the BBQ, brew coffee, spin classic LPS on an integrated sound system (without worrying about neighbours!), sleep in individual rooms etc *all* without having to go outside!  We must do this John Moyle Farm Day again!

Most arrived Friday late afternoon and evening, with dinner at the local Pub.

< missing bit … what actually happened during the competition ??? >

And all the antennas were pulled down and stowed away and cars packed before the showers returned on Sunday.  Most got back to Sydney by 3:35pm.  Some took a drive by Dick Smith’s property, Tallagandra Station … Airstrip? Of course.  Railway? Did you know it has its own railway. Saw it on the google overheads, also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gundaroo_Airport

We even managed to rack up a few QSOs!
