The retiree’s arm of the MWRS conducted an MWMD (MidWeekMidDay) working bee for winter prep.  Having failed to secure enough people over a weekend day in preparation for winter, few of the members indicated that a mid-week working bee may work … and it did.  Thanks to the following attendees: Phil BDF, Yves AUJ, Michael UCT, Rod ZZM, Charlie GMT, Chris HX, Richard NRA.

What you can’t see very well on the picture is that there are 2.5 rows in the pile, i.e. 2 full, and a little one at the front for the next 2 weeks … plus the big logs that will need to be split on the right side of the doors.  Gutters were also done, and the whole hall floor was mopped.  No cockroaches were armed in the process.

And the replies …

Tim:  Hooley Dooley! Now *that’s a pile of wood!!!!!!! Thanks to those that participated today!

Pat:  Well done guys.  Sri about non attendance, but I was working on the holiday house very hard too. he he he

Connie:  Wow, looks great. Wood’s all cut & ready for winter burning.  Cleared all the wood that was next to the shed!

Geoff (the pres):  Nice wood pile.  Challenge accepted 😉  Great work guys!  Fantastic! Great winter prep. We need to do a tip run to get rid of everything on the junk table then the hall will look really clean.
