The Winter VHF/UHF Field day ran over the 24/25 June 2023 weekend. Although this is a 24 hour contest, traditionally we have entered into the 8 hour section the Saturday from midday.

Stunning day, great location, good view to the ocean. Gear was setup up efficiently and worked well on 6m, 2m, 70cm and 23 cm. Present: Nick VK2FS (Organiser), Geoff VK2TGO, Geoff VK2WA, Michael VK2MDP, Phil VK2APL, Phil VK2JPK. Dom Visitors VK2JNA, Mal VK2TMF.

Downside – nobody on the air.  Only made contact with three stations outside our area (Central coast and Riverwood – all bands worked well). Thanks to VK2MZ, VK2TMF, VK2JNA and VK2HL for contacts.

Summary – a great outing, plenty of great conversation and fellowship. Our gear is in good shape, pity everyone stayed at home, rugged up.
