Yet another great Show and Tell night was had by all. The VHF/UHF gear was in abundance. Nick put on a great display of gear and the demonstration of Phillips home brewed anti-collision system was fascinating. Mike got a highly commended for his collection of Apollo 11 books and his skill in making them relevant to a VHF/UHF equipment night. As perusal Roger pulled something special out of the box wining the night with his valve Collins aircraft receiver. Stephan put on his best debating adjudicators cap giving us an excellent rundown on his decision-making process to crown Nick’s story of the first UHF contact off the Island of Jersey the winner of the best story. As usual, amazing displays and amazing stories … never let the truth get in the way of a good story … specially when going to “a Polo” game!
