What do you use to light up your field day operations and camping, or fixing the car at night in the middle of the Nullarbor? We want to see: Led, dolphin, smallest, biggest, floor, 2 stroke flashlight “Absolutely no practical use but brilliant all the same!”, gas powered, liquid fuel powered, wax powered (candle!) … that was the invite. What we got was:
- candles;
- oil lamps;
- dual-fuel lantern (dual what!);
- tent lights;
- Manly sand filled club torche;
- camping set ups;
- crank lamps;
- super-capacitor lights … and
- an air pressure powered light.
82 votes were casted! The winner was the simple Aladin oil lamp followed by 1 vote by the air pressure powered light. The story telling went to Des’ ways to lighting up an oil lamp!

Des’s story was a load of bull. But it was a good story.
