Last night the club held its first “4th Wednesday” tech night. This month we turn out attention to the Raspberry Pi, and invited people to bring their projects and ideas along.
Yves was kind enough to send out his take on the night
This was an amazing idea! So many new faces, new interests and new interesting and interested people. Six projects built from scratch, or should I say, from a Raspberry Pi! Homebrew computers, receivers, transmitter and almost a raspberry pi driven single Nixie tube clock project. The island table was full of gear, piped with main, 12v, 5v, wired and wireless internet connections, aerials and projector. To top this up, Mal TMF who couldn’t bring his project because of size/weight, brought real Raspberry Pies toped up with whip cream for all to enjoy. But wait, there is more, a VK3 visitor, Andrew BQ, paid us a visit and brought real raspberries. Many thanks to Matt for the smooth hosting of the evening.
