Update, 18 October 2021: Good news at last! Because NSW has passed the 80% fully vaccinated milestone, COVID lockdown restrictions for fully vaccinated people have eased up further. Details at https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/stay-safe/rules/fully-vaccinated.
As a result, meetings at the clubhouse have resume. Up to 20 people can be in the clubhouse at a time. You need to be double vaccinated, wear a mask, and of course sign in with the NSW Health QR code.
The Society’s Annual General Meeting, which was originally scheduled for 14 July 2021, will now take place on Sunday 7 November, starting at 2pm. It will be an outdoor meeting, to allow up to 50 attendees under the revised government COVID advice. Attendees will need to show proof of being fully vaccinated. There will be a BBQ after the meeting.
The weekly net on the club’s two metre band repeater, VK2RMB on 146.875MHz -600kHz, will probably continue for those who can’t make it to the clubhouse. At the same time, members can join a Zoom meeting. The net and Zoom meeting start at 8pm every Wednesday evening.
You can also monitor the weekly net online via our repeater audio streaming service.
