Unless we’re mistaken, you scanned the QR code on one of our business cards. So, chances are you have already met one or more club members, perhaps playing Amateur Radio in the park, or on board the destroyer HMAS Vampire. However you got here, we’re delighted to meet you!

As you might already know, Our club meets every Wednesday evening at the First Terrey Hills Guides Hall, in Beltana Avenue, Terrey Hills. The entrance is just across the street from Number 6. Click or tap here to see where we are on Google Maps.

You’re more than welcome to drop in any Wednesday evening, from about 7.30pm.

Club Meetings

The second Wednesday of the month is our regular business meeting, which is relatively boring for newcomers, but at least that part lasts less than an hour, then on to fun stuff!

We also have a lecture on the third Wednesday of the month (except December), which is more interesting. You can see many of our past lectures on your YouTube channel, VK2MB-TV.

When the month has a fifth Wednesday, we usually have a themed Show and Tell night, which is a lot of fun!

Other Wednesday nights are social gatherings, when anything goes!

If you bring along the Society business card, we can quickly link you up with the member who gave it to you. If not, anyone else will be happy to show you around.

Getting Out and About

As well as meeting at the clubhouse, we often “go portable“, taking a lightweight radio station out to a local park or farther afield, such as camping in the bush and going totally “off-grid”. Getting away from the Big Smoke is a great way to enjoy Amateur Radio!

Have a Look Around

The Society’s main web page is here. We do regular blog posts about things going on in the club, so you can get an idea of what we do. There are various topics of interest on the menus, for example we do a lot of work with the Scouting movement who often drop in for visits. So feel free to explore!

If you’re not already a licensed Amateur Radio operator, aka “radio ham”, you’re still welcome here. We think we have most eclectic range of members of any radio club, in Sydney or beyond. There’s always someone interesting to meet here!
