Shack before and afterRichard VK2ARN, Russell VK2BYN, Bob VK2RL and myself VK2AUJ conducted a special “seniors” working bee Wednesday 22-Jun-2016 to clean up the shack.  We’ve emptied it all, cleaned the shelves and re-intalled only the operational gear.  All hand mikes have been provided with a hook.  Most radios are permanently connected to a suitable power source and a suitable aerial.  If the radio powers up, it’s connected to an aerial!

The idea is to have a fully practical and operational radio shack, including computer and a technical workbench for fixing/building stuff … with elbow room!

Nothing got discarded in the process, however we’ve created 2 tables:

1) TIP – components that will be disposed of to the tip.

2) Trash & Treasury – components with some value to some people that will be disposed of at the next Trash & Treasury, some will be given, the gear with some value have price tags on it.

If you see anything of interest on these tables, please grab them, you’ve got few weeks to grab them before they disappear.

Some gear has been relocated into storage, if you can’t find something that should be there, ask one of us.

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY OF YOUR eWASTE AT THE CLUB, and try to keep the Radio Shack clean and tidy.
