Following feedback received from a very good HamClock lecture and the urge from many members to build their own, a “Configurathon” evening was organised for Wednesday 26-Feb-2025, basically BYO hardware and lets configure together, first one to tell the time from his/her clock … helps the other ones to finish.

Richard VK2ARH kindly organised the procurement of Raspberry Pi Zero 2W with a group purchase.

Just getting organised, the early starters get the better spots.
Just getting into it.
Richard VK2ARH explaining the installation process to Geoff VK2TGO.

Geoff VK2TGO couldn’t finish his project as he couldn’t remember his secret SSID and Password … hoping nobody else remembers either. Better luck next week.

Phil VK2JPK’s clock was the first one to be fully operational this evening, thanks to Simon’s speedy configuration’s skills.

Shaun VK2DWS’ RPi ready for the upload.
A Raspberry Pi being loaded. On the right, a running ready version, with the Simon’s special RPi 3D printed case!
Hey Mal … your screen is upside-down. That will make a perfect clock display when finished.
Lets me turn it around … this is the back of Mal’s RPi with display.

And here are a couple of screenshots for the finish product. If you’d like to know more about how this works and how to configure, check our lecture on youtube.
