Getting the gear organised.

Goooooood Moooorning Berrima! Cold again this year. A contingent of 4 brave members spending the 3 days/night at the Berrima scout hall represented the MWRS fro the Trans-Tasman Low Band Contest. An addition 4 members came for a visit on Saturday. It was cold but luckily the fireplace and plenty of firewood helped survive the weekend.

The club’s OCF is now using the newly refurbished balun by Greg VK2XE. Read about the refurbishing process on the John Moyle Field Day post https://www.mwrs.org.au/2024/03/16/vk2mb-p-on-air-for-john-moyle-field-day/

I just worked the blokes in Berrima on 40 m, fabulous signal from Greg’s 7610 and the club’s OCF antenna. The Trans Tasman contest starts at 6.00 pm E.S.T. tonight until midnight on 160, 80 and 40m so give them a call if you get a chance. They should have lots of fun and do well tonight, good luck. 73
