35 people attended the evening with a total of 112 votes. We had quite a collection, including a WWI spark radio transmitter and its receiver. The winner was Bob Anderson with a briefcase size steam powered generator to recharge the radio batteries.

Get ready for our 5th Wednesday of the quarter! Wednesday 30-Nov-2016 will be a show & tell for Military Communication gear and anciliary operations and testing equipment. We are looking for:
– telegraphic equipment: wired, light, sound;
– portable or base radios;
– antenna systems (some were amazing);
– testing equipment;
– Human interfaces!
NOTE: despite a famous statement made when the English fought to grab Canada from the French in 1690: “I have no reply to make to your general other than from the mouths of my cannons and muskets.“, guns and cannons are not considered eligible communication equipment for this event.
