Nick VK2FS and Geoff VK2MIA activated the oval just behind MWRS’s repeater site for the last 3 hours of the summer field day (Sunday 9am-12pm). The name of the game was to get some antennas in the air, make a couple of contacts and see if we could better our last score on 23cm. Unfortunately no 23cm contacts this time around and with only a couple of hours’ operation we’re definitely not winning any awards (!!) but a good time was had by all and a special thanks to Matt VK2RQ for coming along mid-morning with coffee/hot chocolate for the landing party and helping us work a few more people 🙂
