We completed some work at the hut today.
Thanks to Dave CZ and Lewis VK2GZZ in the morning and Tim BT in the afternoon.
Work Done:
Dusted and sweptd.
Restarted and checked the D-Star (Thanks for your help Horst) – Now on air.
Replaced the power supply on the Quantar 70cm FM / P25 repeater – Now on air.
Removed the dead fan from the air intake on the wall. It was very rusted.
Work to do:
Install draft stop around door to stop water and dirt making mud inside the door frame. (Already purchased)
Install and silicon aluminium to the bottom of the door to stop water ingress below door, and prevent further door de-lamination. (I have the aluminium)
Obtain a couple of spare power supplies for the Quantar. We used the last spare.
Finally and importantly, install window style air conditioning on LH wall. Something like https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/kelvinator-c165kw-cool-only-box-air-con-kwh15cme
This has become vital to the health of the expensive equipment we have installed in the hut. Due to the fresh humid  air being drawn into the hut,  condensation is forming in  the Quantar power supply and dripping on the D-Star 70cm transceiver.
The  chrome fan guards on the various units are also severely rusted.
All this results in shortening the life of the equipment.
The wall vent can be sealed using the wall cut out from the aircon, and the vent in the roof will need sealing with a suitable profile piece of roofing.
We will present a price to the club for approval at our earliest convenience.
Cheers,
Mal
