Launching nanosatellites into space, altitudes up to 600km, payload capacity up to 25kg. Patrick is CEO at Space Ops Australia. Has spent more than 6 years with Thales Australia in the Simulation group. Currently studying for his second degree at The University of Sydney to start Space Ops Australia. He is part of USYD’s Rocketry Club supporting the push for space awareness. Patrick is looking for advice from experienced amateurs about communications.

Is it almost Christmas again? how time flies.
We have reserved tables at the Collaroy beach Services Club for 40 people. Numbers will need to be confirmed early November. The booking is from 6pm. We will be in the upstairs bar area. You can arrive and leave when you want and ordering is at the restaurant counter with a buzzer to let you know your meal is ready.

Interesting offerings from the Beach Grill menu: the Marinated Octopus Salad features mescalin! I presume they meant mesclun (“a Provençal green salad made from a mixture of edible leaves and flowers”), rather than “a hallucinogenic and intoxicating compound present in the peyote cactus.” HI

What do you use to light up your field day operations and camping, or fixing the car at night in the middle of the Nullarbor? We want to see: Led, dolphin, smallest, biggest, floor, 2 stroke flashlight, gas powered, liquid fuel powered, wax powered (candle!).
