Wednesday 31-may-2017 was microphones Show & Tell evening with a twist! 2 winners this evening: the best feature (via gold coin voting) & the best story (selected by an impartial jury).
What’s your user voice interface??? Bring it on!!! We were looking for:
- small, big, unusual;
- valve operated;
- carbon, electret, dynamic;
- noise cancelling (electronic, phased, rubber mask);
- underwater, airborne, mobile, remote, lapel, throat, ear, bugging;
- omni-directional, cardoïd, super directional;
- unusual stories!
We got them all!
Rob (1-Jun-2017): If you weren’t at the show and tell last night you missed another great night of fun and information as many varied and unusual microphones were put on display!
Congratulations to Ian who was warded the top prize of the night for the best microphone and to Phil for the best story of the evening.
Thanks goes to Yves and Connie for their organisation and setting up, newest member Brian for being the inaugural judge of the yarn competition and to the members who
put in a lot of effort to bring along their microphones, photographs and memorabilia, to make the night possible.
Lastly, I would like to thank all the members who stick their hands in their pockets and give so generously, to make these nights the success that they are, both financially and socially.
